Many folks view the American Legion as an organization that is simply a club for veterans, and are unaware of what we are really about. True, we do have a clubroom and we do enjoy socializing with one another, but there is much more to it than that. A lot of our energy is devoted to things that we believe help to make Greater Cincinnati a bit better than it would be if we were not here.
Post 484 has grown to a membership of 400+. This very active post sponsors or participates in many community-oriented activities. The legion building has historical significance; part of the building was once a train station. The other side of the building is an addition, and it serves as our meeting hall. Legion Auxiliary Unit 484 and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 484 also use the building.
Post 484's hall is available for rental. There is a service bar at the left and an elevated stage for a band or DJ at center. A full kitchen with a serving area is located behind the stage area. A raised area for use by the celebrants is located at the far end.
