Lafayette Parks and Recreation is pleased to make available the Big Four Depot located in Riehle Plaza. This is the perfect location for an occasion hosting 80-90 people.
This treasured building was built in 1902. In 1994, as part of the Lafayette Railroad Relocation Project, it was moved to the plaza site. It has since been renovated and restored and was rededicated in 1995 as the centerpiece of the James F. Riehle Plaza.
Opened: 1902, Remodeled: 1994. The Depot at Riehle Plaza provides a historic meeting and special event site along the banks of the Wabash River in Downtown Lafayette. Moved from its original location as part of Railroad Relocation, the Depot’s Community Room is available for meetings, luncheons, receptions, dinners and more. Tables and chairs are available at the site. Maximum seating indoors is 90; additional seating is available outdoors on the terrace. Dimensions are 66 feet by 28 feet. Amenities include; Parking Areas, Restrooms. Weddings, wedding rehearsals and receptions welcome. Weddings could be held in the plaza or on the pedestrian bridge. Kitchenette available. Small parking lot, restrooms and air conditioning.
