The Bristol grew up with Louisville. And we’re proud to be part
of this great community! The Bristol Bar & Grille opened its first
location on Bardstown Road in the heart of the Highlands in September
1977, and it quickly became a favorite local dining destination.
Louisvillians came from all over town to enjoy The Bristol’s aged choice
steaks, pasta, fresh seafood, salads, sandwiches, appetizers–including
our famous Green Chili Wontons—an award-winning wine list, and extensive
beer and beverage selection. So many of you came to The Bristol, in
fact, that The Bristol started coming to you!
- Since 1983, Bristol Catering has brought our unique culinary flair
and professional service to business and social events of all sizes and
types.
- In 1983, The Bristol supported Louisville’s exciting downtown
resurgence by opening a second restaurant in The Kentucky Center for
Arts. (In 2002, we moved to our current, larger downtown location at 614
West Main Street.)
- In 1995, we opened our third location on North Hurstbourne Parkway.
And, in 2006, a fourth location opened on Timber Ridge Drive in
Prospect.
- In 2008, a fifth full-service Bristol location opened in the
Sheraton Hotel in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Today, wherever you live,
work, or play, there’s a Bristol nearby where you can enjoy lunch or
dinner daily, served by our friendly, attentive staff in an elegant but
casual, relaxed atmosphere. Every location features outdoor seating and
an award-winning Sunday Brunch. In fact, over the years, The Bristol has
won more “Best of Louisville” awards than any other dining
establishment. We are also proud to support the Louisville arts
community by showcasing local artists’ works at every location. Thirty
years after opening its doors, The Bristol remains one of the area’s
premier dining destinations and a true Louisville original—thanks to
you!
