From private events to public receptions, the Madame Walker Theatre Center has welcomed generations to celebrate and convene within its walls. Today, it hosts gatherings of every conceivable kind, from celebratory receptions to onstage showcases and business seminars.
The Center upholds the traditions of days past, when the Indiana Avenue corridor was a bustling cultural, commercial, and community destination. At the same time, it enables today's businesses, civic groups, and families, to add the Art Deco glamour of the past to today's events.
The Madame Walker Theater stage can be rented for public and private events. The theater itself seats 935 and is ideal for any staged event, including pageants, concerts, rehearsals, lectures and award ceremonies.
The Grand Casino Ballroom seats a maximum of 300 persons. At 4,800 square feet, it is ideal for seminars, banquets, parties, receptions, meetings, reunions, galas and balls.
The Conference Room has seating for up to 30 people, a full suite of A/V equipment and high speed internet access and is perfect for meetings and presentations. Both feature A/V and data link capabilities.
Walker Memorial Board Room boasts a spectacular view of the downtown Indianapolis skyline. With seating for 12-14, video conferencing infrastructure and broadband access the Boardroom is ideal for special sessions or important meetings.
