Venue Description

We are located in historic downtown Franklin, Indiana, just south of the striking Johnson County courthouse, on Main Street. We are owned and operated by Richard and Meg Goss. Richard, a classically trained chef, earned his culinary arts degree at the Philadelphia Restaurant School, recognized as one of the finest cooking schools in the U.S.A. He then commanded exceptional kitchens in Colorado, Vermont, and Tennessee, before relocating to our small town of Franklin, Indiana.

Richard’s BOP features an authentic wood-fired brick oven, designed by Richard’s father, Bill Goss, and constructed using repurposed brick pavers from local Franklin streets. Prominently displayed as the focal point of the restaurant, the oven is simply a work of art. Surrounded by a circular bar, patrons can watch their pizza go from dough to a piping hot pie right before their eyes! Richard’s BOP also offers pastas and salads, plus a full bar, including locally crafted beers and fine wines.

Enjoy dining alfresco in our beautiful garden patio on sunny spring, summer and fall days, weather permitting. Call us for all your catering needs.
